Oh Canada

One of my favorite places to go over the summer is just north of the border.  Niagara On the Lake is a hidden gem that my family and I try to visit once (twice if we're lucky) a summer.  The shops, the views, and the wine are what make this place so unique.  Last weekend we decided to make the trip to Canada and get in our yearly visit.  We had the perfect day and indulged in everything that Niagara on the Lake had to offer.  If you haven't been, I highly recommend taking the trip at any time of year.  There are several places to stay, spas, and wineries for the perfect getaway for a day or the weekend.  Below are some pictures of our day trip over the border!

Ice Wine Tasting

Wine Country Vintners

I bought my first fascinator
(A fascinator is a little hat usually worn to European weddings or horse races)

Red Wine Sangria

Olive Oil Tasting

Olive Oil and Balsamic samples at Oliv

Lunch at Shaw Cafe & Wine Bar

Cow's for Ice Cream

Canada's Best Ice Cream

A successful day trip :)
