Currently

I recently came across a blog post by fellow blogger Amanda on her blog Running With Spoons about all the things "Currently" going on in her life.  I thought it was a fun and creative idea.  So here's my life as I Currently know it...

Current Book -  

I'm reading The Everygirl's Guide to Diet and Fitness by Maria Menounos.  Her story is really inspiring and she started living a healthy lifestyle the right way.  Plus I think she's really relatable with ways to incorporate diet and exercise for those girls who don't have the luxury of hours to waste and the gym or gobs of money to spend on organic superfoods.  You can see a picture of the cover in the "What I'm Reading" sidebar.

Current Food -

I've been on a smoothie kick lately.  Almost every morning I whip up a new breakfast smoothie to try, but my 2 go betweens are a Berry Smoothie and Peanut Butter Banana Berry Smoothie.  They're relatively the same but one has more ingredients than the other.  Here are the recipes so you can try them for yourself at home!


Berry Smoothie

1 cup Almond Milk
1 cup Frozen Berries
1 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder
(or substitute the Protein Powder for 1 cup of Plain Greek Yogurt)
Blend it all together and you've got a great way to start your morning

Peanut Butter Banana Berry Smoothie

1 cup Frozen Berries
1 Small Banana
1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt or 1 scoop of Protein Powder
1 tbsp Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
If you want a thinner consistency add in 1/2 cup to 1 cup of Almond Milk
Blend together and you've got yourself another go to breakfast or any meal replacement smoothie



Current Bane of Existence -

This weather.  It seems like Mother Nature is playing a cruel joke on us with the continue bout of freezing temps and snow.  But I just keep thinking that spring is just around the corner and hopefully by then Mother Nature will be ready to see some green grass and blue skies too.

Current Procrastination - 

Setting a budget.  I've been telling myself for months now that I should be more conscientious of my spending habits.  I always vow that I'll sit down and create a budget for myself.  Does that happen? No, instead I end up in Anthropologie buying cute pants and home decor that I don't need...but it's so cute!
I can't be the only one who procrastinates doing this, right?

Current Mood -

Motivated.  I feel motivated to keep up on my personal goals that I've set for myself and my career goals as well.
